Russell V. Altenburg, Vice Chairman
Students Helping Honduras
Mr. Altenburg is Chief Operating Officer of nonprofit Students Helping Honduras, which helps orphaned and at-risk children in Honduras using the talents and energy of US college students. His responsibilities include strategic planning, marketing, fundraising, finance and investments. Previously, he worked for five years at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. in New York advising corporate clients on foreign exchange risk management. While at J.P. Morgan, he served as co-President for the Diversity Action Council, served on various analyst mentoring committees, and was an active member of the Duke University recruiting team. He's also worked in JPMorgan's Community Development Group, at UBS PaineWebber and at Duke University Medical Center. He holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Economics from Duke University, and has also studied economics at Sydney University in Sydney, Australia.

Edward F. Branagan III, Executive Director
Johns Hopkins University
Mr. Branagan is currently a graduate student at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University where he is pursuing a Master's degree in international relations. Before attending graduate school, he was a Project Manager at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. in New York, New York. In his first two years at J.P. Morgan, he acted as Events Coordinator for the Diversity Action Council. His prior experience includes an internship in the Embassy of the Peruvian Military Attache. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, from the College of William & Mary. Mr. Branagan has taught English to students in Zenica, Bosnia, and studied at the Forester Institute in San Jose, Costa Rica.

S. Douglas Bunch, Chairman
Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll PLLC
Mr. Bunch is an associate at the Washington, DC law firm of Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll PLLC. He holds a Law degree from the William & Mary School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Government and Classical Studies from the College of William & Mary. Additionally, he holds a Master’s degree in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education. Mr. Bunch is Founder and Executive Director of Ascanius: The Youth Classics Institute, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. He has also worked for the Virginia General Assembly, United States Congress, and United States Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.

Rebecca M. Sacra
Public School 261, Brooklyn, New York
Ms. Sacra is currently in her fourth year of teaching at P. S. 261 in Brooklyn, New York. Ms. Sacra currently teaches third grade Collaborative Team Teaching, and has also taught fourth grade and spent time as a kindergarten teaching assistant. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in both Childhood and Special Education from New York University in addition to a Masters of Arts degree in In-Service Childhood Education also from New York University. Ms. Sacra has previously worked with schools in developing countries through her participation in NYU's Dean's Research Travel Colloquia and has served two terms on Global Playground's Advisory Committee.

Mr. Smith is an associate at the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York City. He holds a Law degree from the William & Mary School of Law and a Master’s degree in International Political Economics and Bachelor’s degrees in Politics and in International Economics and Finance from the Catholic University of America. Previously he has worked for the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the Executive Office of the President’s Council of Economic Advisors, the United States Department of Justice, and the United States Congress.
