Books are important because they encourage independent learning, develop a thirst for knowledge, and provide access to new ideas. They also improve a school's educational resource base, and enable teachers to find new ways to present and share ideas.

Through library books, we can inspire students to explore the world around them and give them the resources they need to do so.
